FINALMENTE! Depois de meses de muito suspense, Williams acaba de lançar oficialmente o seu primeiro álbum de estúdio, o "Aphrodite". A temática do álbum é sobre a importância do feminismo e do empoderamento feminino como um todo em nossa sociedade atualmente. O álbum contém faixas que falam desde a rivalidade feminina até o abuso sexual e a valorização do próprio corpo. O projeto conta com 10 faixas, incluindo o smash-hit "Love Is A Bitch", que atingiu o Top 5 da principal parada de charts do mundo, e "Proud Of The Nation", o mais recém-lançado single do álbum.
"Aphrodite" é um álbum totalmente solo, pois se trata de uma temática pessoal para Williams, onde ela expõe situações reais de seu cotidiano como mulher. A importância desse assunto para a cantora é de extrema magnitude, tanto que ela decidiu que o seu primeiro álbum fosse inteiramente sobre isso, para tentar usar a sua influência como pessoa pública a favor de meninas que ainda sofre esse tipo de preconceito e estereótipos nos dias atuais.

Faixa 01 - "NOT JULIET" - (04:09)
A faixa que abre o Aphrodite mostra uma pegada sexy e provocante, com influências de ritmos indianos e uma sensualidade única, encontrada apenas em Williams. O álbum já começa falando de um assunto pesado e polêmico, o relacionamento abusivo. Na letra, Williams retrata um novo enredo para a história de Romeu e Julieta, onde Romeu está tentando obrigar Julieta a fazer o que ele mandar e Julieta tenta escapar, porém com muitas dificuldades. O assunto é tratado de uma maneira irônica com vocais divertidos, como se estivesse de fato contando uma história.

"Scandalous" fala sobre o quão escandaloso é o fato da mulher mostrar o seu corpo nas redes sociais ou sair com roupas curtas pela rua, já que são altamente julgadas em seus próprios relacionamentos. A letra é bem provocativa, falando das maiores qualidades de seu corpo e fazendo uma espécie de chantagem ao homem. A produção da música é inspirada em músicas com temáticas orientais, a qual é bem perceptível nas notas dos instrumentais, além de contar com uma pegada bem Vogue.

"Sex With Satan" é a faixa mais pesada liricamente e a mais dramática do álbum como um tudo. A música fala sobre abuso sexual, deixando bem explicito a maneira como a mulher é tratada nesse tipo de crime e como ela é injustiçada e obrigada a se calar nessas situações. O vocal de Williams ajuda a dar uma maior interpretação para a música, já que ela canta de uma maneira calma e vergonhosa, colocando todos os sentimentos pra fora.

A faixa de número 5, "Miami's Lifestyle" fala sobre como é a vida de uma mulher na sociedade atualmente, os perrengues que ela tem que passar e tudo que relacionado com o machismo. A faixa é uma recriação/cover modernizada da música "Joan Of Arc" da Madonna, colocada em uma pegada mais trap e atual, combinando com a vibe do álbum.

"Man Of The Moon" fala sobre como os homens continuam sempre um passo a frente das mulheres, mesmo quando as mulheres entregam o melhor de sí. A música faz alusão ao primeiro homem a pisar na lua, como forma de dizer que os homens sempre chegam primeiro que as mulheres. O instrumental remete a sons tropicais para fazer referência aos animais e objetos citados na letra e o seu vocal é forte com grandes high notes no último refrão.

"Napoleon's Complex" é a faixa mais pessoal do álbum e a que mais se destoa do sentido feminista que o projeto trouxe até o momento. Williams tenta abranger o público geral para falar de um assunto delicado, o suicídio. A letra é como se fosse uma carta para ela mesma, tentando se motivar para viver cada dia mais alegre e satisfeita com a vida. Apesar de não ter uma temática feminista, a faixa foi colocada por também ser considerada importante para todos.

Para encerrar o álbum com chave de ouro, "The King" se mostra como uma forte balada vocal falando sobre a Williams mais nova. Na música, Williams tenta dizer para sua versão mais nova não desistir e continuar firme no seu caminho, afirmando que nenhum homem vai te derrubar e que nenhum homem será o seu príncipe encantado, ela será o seu próprio rei. É uma ótima maneira de encerrar um álbum como esse, passando a mensagem para todas as meninas para que desde cedo sejam empoderadas e fortes.
